The ruin of Kronoberg Castle
Set on the banks of Lake Helgasjön, this was once a key fortification against the Danish. At this time, Blekinge,
Halland and Skåne all belonged to Denmark, however, by the end of the 17th century these provinces had become Swedish, and the castle’s position was no longer as strategically important for the ruling power. Slowly it fell into decay.
The ruin are located about eight kilometers north of Växjö
