René Lalique

One of the museum’s highlights is the work of French glass artist René Lalique (1860-1945). After studying in France and England, Lalique shifted from Art Nouveau jewelry to glassmaking in the early 1900s. He established two glassworks in Alsace and designed items like perfume bottles and art glass, often using press-molding techniques. His refined glasswork became highly prized, and today the Lalique brand is still known for luxury jewelry, perfume, and art glass.
